GEIGER, HANRAHAN TO PROVIDE CONSULTING TO NEW VENUE

— River Edge Park, Aurora,IL, to open in 2013 —

Delafield, WI– (December 2011) –Doak Geiger from Geiger & Associates is teaming up with Ed Hanrahan of Open Road Events to provide consulting for the City of Aurora, Illinois, as it plans for the opening of River Edge Park in 2013. Open Road Events will be initially consulting in the event and operational planning, development, and budgeting for the initial year.

According to Aurora’s resolution, Open Road Events “lends the expertise needed to define and implement the necessary action steps to prepare for the inaugural programming season in 2013 and beyond.”

RiverEdge Park  will serve as a premiere regional entertainment venue that will foster economic development in the downtown. RiverEdge Park will be located along the Fox River between New York Street and Illinois Avenue in downtown Aurora. The Music Garden, which will be the first phase of construction, will hold up to 9,500 people and serve as a cultural events hub within a natural setting of the Fox River and downtown.
