GEIGER, HANRAHAN TO PROVIDE CONSULTING TO NEW VENUE
—River Edge Park, Aurora,IL, to open in 2013 —
Delafield, WI– (December 2011) –Doak Geiger from Geiger & Associates is teaming up with Ed Hanrahan of Open Road Events to provide consulting for the City of Aurora, Illinois, as it plans for the opening of River Edge Park in 2013. Open Road Events will be initially consulting in the event and operational planning,development,andbudgeting for the initial year.
According to Aurora’s resolution, Open Road Events “lends the expertise needed to define and implement the necessary action steps to prepare for the inaugural programming season in 2013 and beyond.”
RiverEdge Parkwill serve as a premiere regional entertainment venue that will foster economic development in the downtown. RiverEdge Park will be located along the Fox River between New York Street and Illinois Avenue in downtown Aurora. The Music Garden, which will be the first phase of construction, will hold up to 9,500 people and serve as a cultural events hub within a natural setting of the Fox River and downtown.
2011 Wisconsin State Fair Sponsor Activation -----
Delafield, WI– (March 2011) –Doak Geiger has been retained to work on sponsor activation at the Wisconsin State Fair for Beer Capitol Distributing and its brands, it was announced today. Geiger will be identifying objectives for the event, recommending appropriate strategic initiatives, and execute the elements of the plan at the Miller Lite Sports Bar & Grill and Saz’s Miller High Life Pavilion initially. Other areas may be included after a site review and subsequent meetings. Responsibilities will also include advising on other issues as needed, entertainment sourcing, negotiation, and execution, and on-site management of marketing activities for Beer Capitol.
This marks the eighth year of Geiger’s involvement at Wisconsin State Fair.

Geiger to advise Special Olympics Wisconsin on Strategic Planning -----

Delafield, WI– (June 2010) –Doak Geiger and Geiger & Associates are once again working with M & I on its 2010 Summerfest activation strategy and execution.
For 2010, M & I and Geiger have developed an American Idol - designed event where M & I employees audition for the opportunity to appear on the M & I Classic Rock stage on July 4 from 12PM – 2PM. There will be a number of nights of auditioning, and judges will be selecting the final 10 employee/contestants. The event will be supported with professional sound, lights, staging, and videotaping. Judges will offer assessments as well as advice to all contestants. Judges are;
·Jeff Schroedl, Vice-President of Popular and Standard Publications for Hal Leonard Corporation, overseeing a vast inventory of HLC publications and leading the company's entry into the web-based guitar instructional platform called GuitarInstructor.com.;

·Tracy Hannemann, lead singer for the Eddie Butts Band, model, and the voice talent that sang "The Brewers Song" on WKTI 94.5 FM in Milwaukee
During the finals on July 4, at Summerfest, there will be celebrity guests and a visit to a stage headliner that day.
